Mission Overview
The Coalition of Leaders for Advanced Student Success (CLASS) is working to ensure the nation’s best and brightest students, regardless of income or background, have the skills and knowledge to succeed in school and the workforce. CLASS fights to close the Excellence Gap by enacting targeted strategies designed to support low-income, high-achieving students.

Career Exploration
Through its “Day in The Life Series” and Career Exploration Day, CLASS can provide your students with windows into a wide variety of career paths through its network of leaders in start-ups, finance, medicine, law, corporate business and more.
Roundtable Discussions
CLASS brings together small groups of school leaders and stakeholders who are invested in developing the school-to-workforce pipeline for high achieving disadvantaged students. Principal and other school leaders can share best practices with each other and make individual connections with local professionals.
Annual Summit
CLASS has hosted five national summits since our founding, “Closing the Excellence Gap: Building The Pipeline”. Hundreds of education stakeholders in total have attended from across the nation. Attendance included high school principals, corporate executives, innovators, and policy makers. Member schools get a $100 discount on tickets to the 2020 Summit!

CLASS created an innovative webinar series for our national membership that has explored leading topics including effective advising for high achieving students, partnerships to expand student opportunities, education for tomorrow’s jobs, sharing best practices.
Advocacy
CLASS was named a National Advocate for Closing the Excellence Gap and Strengthening the School Workforce Pipeline in our nation’s capital meeting. Participants included US Senators offices of Lamar Alexander, Cory Booker, Kristin Gillibrand and Patty Murray.
